BeDazzleLiT Bicycle Wheel Light Installation

Thank You for purchasing the BeDazzleLiT 8 Function LED Wheel Light. Here I will walk you through the steps to install this strip on the standard spoked bicycle wheel. This should take 10 to 15 min. per wheel. To begin, you will need 20 4 inch nylon tie wraps, 3 AA batteries, and a cutter or scissors as pictured below.

Remove the velcro strap, install the batteries and turn the lights on. I usually cycle through the functions until I get to the steady on state. Unwind the strip and guide the wire through the back side of the plastic loop on the top of the battery box and sit the box on the center of the wheel as pictured below.

Next, take the BeDazzleLiT velcro strap and wrap it around the spokes and the battery box. It is important to secure the strap snuggly between the two door hinges on the battery box as pictured below.

Once the 8 Function battery box is secure we can begin installing the copper wire to the spokes. Take a tie wrap and wrap it around the copper wire and spoke near the top of the battery box as pictured below. Pull the tie wrap and lock into place.

Now take the copper wire and run along the spoke until you get to the end of the spoke near the rim. Take another tie wrap and tie around the copper wire and the SAME spoke as the lower tie wrap in the previous step as picture. Make sure that there is no slack between these to points.

Next, you can take the copper wired lights and lay it through the center of the spoke or in a zig zag pattern through the spokes. Either way, it is the same. Now, I take a tie wrap and secure the wired light to EVERY OTHER spoke at its outer end as pictured below. Remember to wrap the tie around the wire and spoke.

Continue this pattern as you circle the wheel insuring that the wire light is snugly secured. You will eventually return to the 1st outer tie wrap where you began to circle the wheel. Notice that the excess wire is sticking out at this point. You have one or two options; 1st you can simply wrap the excess around the wire; 2nd cut the wire just after the last wrapped spoke. See the 1st options picture below

Now you are almost done. All that is remaining is to cut the tie wrap extensions with your cutter. As you cut the tie wraps, take your time and do not make the mistake of cutting your wired lights.

Your wheel is now BeDazzleLiT!
